Who we are
Broadstreet Collective is a small team of Support Partners and Psychosocial Recovery Coaches that have come together to create positive experiences for people with self-managed or plan managed NDIS plans. We work in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. We value the lived and learned experience of our team and we champion our diverse Australian community.
Our team’s shared values
Experts (we aren’t) – We are trained mental health workers but believe you are the expert in your life. You teach us and together we build a safe trusting space for recovery.
Keeping it real – We bring our authentic selves to the work because we understand the importance of creating real connections.
Genuine acceptance – We are accepting of your history, experience and past pain. We understand that change can be difficult and it’s a privilege for us to be a part of your journey.
What we do
Support Partners
Broadstreet Support Partners are trained mental health workers and will work with you to benefit your mental health and wellbeing.
Support Partners will help you identify your strengths and guide you to achieve your wellbeing goals.
Sessions can take place face-to-face in the community or your home, or can also be done through phone support.
Psychosocial Recovery Coaches
Recovery means your ability to live your life in the way you want to live it. When you have a Recovery Coach, you will work collaboratively with them to develop a recovery plan. Your recovery plan is about helping you move forward, at your own pace, to a place where you have more control of your life and are better able to manage life’s day to day complexities. Recovery Coaches will support you to put that plan into action, connecting you to the services you need and ensuring you are managing your NDIS funding.
Recovery Coaches are like a combination of a Support Coordinator and a Support Worker. They have more hours allocated than a Support Coordinator would usually have, meaning more time with you, and they can support you to negotiate with your services and the NDIS.
We live and work on the unceded lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. We value diversity and strive to be inclusive of all genders, sexualities, cultures, bodies and abilities.
